Most holy Apostle, St. Jude Thaddeus, faithful disciple and first promoter of the devotion to the Mandylion of Edessa, the Church honors and invokes you as the patron of difficult and desperate cases, Pray for me, because I am helpless and alone. Intercede with Jesus, the Risen Lord whose human and divine face is imprinted in the Mandylion, you so devoutly propagated for souls' salvation. Come to my assistance in this great need that I may receive the consolation and help of heaven in my necessities. In return, I promise to spread the devotion to the Holy Face, the Veronica.
